WHAT DOES THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS DO?

Strawdog’s volunteer Board Members make up the governing body of the organization. They support our mission and artistic programming by participating in board and committee meetings, introducing Strawdog to new communities, attending performances and events, and championing our values of Challenge, Community, Equity, Ensemble and Genuine Connection.

WHO CAN JOIN THE BOARD?

Strawdog is looking for individuals who are interested in supporting the performing arts. Whether you are an artist, doctor, lawyer, accountant, fundraiser, marketer, event planner, business owner, retired, or just looking for an organization to call home—we’d love to meet you!

HOW CAN I LEARN MORE?

Email Michael Reyes, Strawdog Board President, at michael.reyes@strawdog.org to set time for an introductory meeting.

Or attend a board recruiting event. These special events happen once during the run of each show and you can meet board members, hear a brief presentation and learn more.

  • Next event TBD.

HOW DO I JOIN?

Meet one-on-one with at least one active board member, attend two board meetings as an observer to learn first-hand how the board operates, and accept the formal invitation to join, if the board votes to invite you.
