Michael Lane discovered Strawdog when he and the theater both moved into Northcenter around the same time. He saw Pillars of the Community and The Revolutionists and responded to our flyer requesting new board members when he saw Take Me. Michael is the CEO of Galapagos Charter Schools, based in Rockford. He has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master’s degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and graduated from Loyola University School of Law.
He has also dabbled a bit in theater having performed at Theaterzone in Boston. His most memorable role was in Caryl Churchill’s Mad Forest and he produced and directed an improv show, The Real, Real World, in Chicago at the Playground.
