Meaghan Clayton is an attorney working in the federal judiciary, and a former judicial clerk in the Illinois Appellate Court and the Circuit Court of Cook County. Originally from Canada, Meaghan moved to Illinois in 2001 to attend graduate school. Before attending the John Marshall Law School (J.D. ‘06), Meaghan earned a B.A. in history from Queen’s University (Cha-gheill!) in Kingston, Ontario, and an M.A. from Northern Illinois University.
A love of theatre developed through regular attendance at Canada’s Shaw Festival and Stratford Festival, Meaghan’s own stage career began and ended with a role as a tree in a third-grade play about Spring. Meaghan joined the Strawdog family as a board member in 2013 after participating in the Arts & Business Council of Chicago’s OnBOARD program.
