Becca Levy on stage.

Becca Levy

Becca Levy.

Becca Levy was delighted to join Strawdog’s ensemble with the class of 2018! The first show she stage managed with Strawdog, D.O.A., was the final show in Hugen Hall, Strawdog’s old home on Broadway. She knew immediately that Strawdog would be an artistic home for her in Chicago.

She continued to work with Strawdog through a major transition, stage managing Distance and Cymbeline in season 29, while we were in between spaces, before being asked to join the staff as Production Manager for season 30. She was honored and excited to be a part of Strawdog’s growth and time in Berenice through Seasons 30 & 31.

Becca is a freelance stage manager, production manager, and teaching artist, and has worked with various fantastic Chicago theatre companies, including Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Emerald City Theatre, Jackalope Theatre Company, Red Theater, and Pinebox Theatre Company, and she serves as the North American Company Stage Manager for Potted Potter with Starvox Touring and Seabright Productions. She is also the PSM of the Opera Program at Northeastern Illinois University.

Outside of her work in theatre, Becca is as a yoga alliance certified adult and children’s yoga instructor, wedding and events coordinator, s’mores enthusiast, and self-proclaimed spreadsheet nerd. You can find more about Becca’s work at beccaglevy.com.

Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life. No one is here today because they did it on their own.” — Queen of the world, Amy Poehler
