Strawdog
Theater follows up their brash late-nite summer hit Return to the
Howard Bowl with the American Premiere of Irish Playwright Enda
Walsh's high energy joy-ride Disco Pigs.
Originally
staged in Cork, Ireland by Corcadorca, the play is about two Irish
kids, Pig and Runt, on their 17th birthdays roaming around Cork
City, drinking, fighting, stealing, regressing and growing up. A
mixture of high energy physicality and deep poeticism, this tale
of Irish youths won the Best Play awards at the Dublin and Edinburough
Theater Festivals and went on to inspire and provoke audiences in
France, Germany, Australia and Canada.
Strawdog
is thrilled to offer the American Premiere.
