"Think of me what you will, I've got a little space to fill."

Hailing from the East Coast, Michaela moved to Chicago to study fiction writing at Columbia College. However, one look at the Getz's stage housing nothing but a ghost light, she changed her major and began to pursue her passion of theater.

After completion of the theater program in 2004 she began work with The Lakeside Shakespeare Theatre. Her time spent with LST has allowed her to run the gamut from Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, to The Boy in Henry V.

Within the city's limits she has been seen performing with WildClaw, The Journeymen, Open Eye, City Lit, and Mary-Arrchie at Angel Island. However, she began working with Strawdog on WRLS 4 in 2005 and has been around ever since.

Allowed to reestablish herself as a singer, and reinvent herself time and time again, are just two of the reasons she esteems herself lucky to be a part of this talented family of people.

She loves tea, baking, t-shirts and rock-n-roll. Though word on the street is she's accident prone, she'll never relinquish her bike. Besides, she heals miraculously quickly.

"Follow the fear."
